We are  always told to excel in academics, concentrate on getting good grades and ace the examinations. It is being literate that has always been encouraged; but , what about aspects like self- mindfulness, enhancement and  development that play an equally important role in our lives. The significance of self-enhancement frequently goes unnoticed. We are either purposely sweeping our failures under the carpet or refusing to face them or are just happy being ignorant.

Truth is that we cannot run away from our inner selves.  The further we run, the deeper a grave is dug for us because there will be a time when all those undetermined feelings will surface, leaving us overwhelmed.

So, what should be done? Start with purposely getting more self-aware, observing your  feelings and responses and deciding to make self-enhancement an integral part of your lives. Just the way learning should not stop, the same applies for self-enhancement. The idea should be to concentrate on nonstop on self-development at every stage in our lives.

The first step is :  

  • to  know  yourself more
  •  be more self-analytical

 It makes us question self  and face reality for what it is.  Such enhancement helps and supports us to identify particular strengths and play on them. To be aware about  our strengths is  not only important at work  but also is important for every sphere of our  lives.

With respect to self-analysis,  it is equally important to know about our  weaknesses. Don’t be ashamed/shy of them, look at them as areas of improvement. We all have strengths and weakness that shape our personality. It is  these defects that make us mortal. So, don’t let those failures get you down. The fact is  that you tried to accomplish a task by itself should motivate you.

It is rightly said that life begins outside one’s comfort zone. When we work on self, we get to know our self more , which lets us deal with the emotions and feelings more effectively. We  begin to understand why we are  passing certain feelings and learning how to attack them with time. Someone who is not  self-aware and is  not concentrating on perfecting himself; he will obviously have absolutely no control over  his responses which can lead to added stress and anxiety.

 Being in denial  is  no way the answer!

Imagine climbing a mountain – every chain we cross, motivates us to go higher. The same analogy holds true when it comes to self-enhancement. Every fear and weakness we overcome motivates us to continue on the path of self development and evolve further.

With all the distractions, we are bombarded with internal clarity which is a tough state to attain. Still, when we go for self-analysis and self-development, the primary thing of our life is that we begin to start getting more authentic and also start removing the clutter from our  lives

 By seeing ourselves grow with every passing day, adds  on to our confidence and tone-regard.
